Following a flurry of nominations for the North East Regional Awards, we can now announce all of those who have been nominated for an award and those who will be receiving their Long Service Award.
From all of the netball community in the North East; congratulations! Our region would not be where it is without these wonderful people and we know there are more of you out there working away in the shadows. The Regional Netball Celebration takes place on Saturday 11th May, 7.30pm at The Eagles Community Arena, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Tickets cost £10 and must be bought in advance. Please contact the regional office to purchase your tickets. Goalden Globe nominees As well as our regional award nominees, we also have some worthy nominations for Goalden Globe awards. The North East National Clubs Qualifying Tournament was held on Saturday 30th March to determine who would be the North East's representatives at the National Clubs Finals at both Under 14 and Under 16. The teams who finished in the top 5 during the regular season (Junior Regional League) competed against one another to earn their place at National Clubs Finals.
The competition was full of top class netball in both age groups, with teams really stepping up to challenge. The Under 14 competition was closely contested and went right down to the last fixture of the day to decide the top three, whilst in the Under 16 competition, the top two were decide by a 2-goal game. :: READ MORE ::
